Display Partners International (DPI) was formed in 2004 by Tom Batey and Stephen Higginson. Tom and Stephen each have 30 years' experience in electronic displays.  

Tom formed a company you may of heard of; Ferrograph famous originally for very high quality reel to reel tape recorders and in 1984 moved into the manufacture of LED displays. Tom remained as MD of Ferrograph until 2004. Tom sold his share of the company to the RBS and left shortly thereafter to form DPI.  

Tom is a chartered accountant. Stephen worked for Hird Brown in Bolton who supplied electronic scoreboards to football stadia including the original Wembley and scoring systems for Wimbledon, the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics in conjunction with the Swiss timing company Omega.  He also worked for a group Company HB Electronics as a franchise manager for Optoelectronics (LED's) before joining Tom at Ferrograph in 1994.  

Stephen went on to become Sales Director and together he and Tom developed the companies display business to an annual turnover of £10M across transportation, retail and telecommunications markets. Stephen left at the same time as Tom in 2004 so that they could establish DPI together.
